Business partners


Montenegro is a stunningly beautiful country with very diverse untouched nature. It includes mountains, beaches, cities and even multiple national parks.
In order to see and experience the most of the country we decided not to concentrate on just one location and rather move around in the whole country and find interesting business partners who fit under our set category of niche tourism. Our planned route is depicted in the picture on the right.



Following is a brief introduction for each of our business partners to give you a little overview of the business activities we are going to research during the Study Week in Montenegro.


Plantaže
Plantaže is a Montenegrin wine and grape brandy producer. 
This is the biggest viticultural and winemaking company in Montenegro and one of the biggest companies in Montenegro overall. The company is based in the capital Podgorica and was founded in 1963. The company deals with the production and distribution of wine and grape brandies, production of table grapes and peaches, fish farming catering and retail trade. The most important segment of the company is related to to production of grapes wine and it own one of the largest vineyards in Europe with a surface of 23 km2, covered with more than 11 million grape wines. AD Plantaže is one of the largest producers of grapes and wine in the region with an annual production of 22 million kg and 17 million bottles sold annually.

The company exports to over 30 countries and is the market leader in the Balkans. 


Vila Jelka
Vila Jelka is one of the first eco-tourism villages in montenegro which was established in 1993. The company has grown over time and today offers a wider range of activities like horse-back riding and tours in the mountains in addition to various kinds of accommodation possibilities. Furthermore they offer their customers healthy food and a friendly environment.

Local tourism organisation 
The Durmitor National Park encompasses the basic mountain massif of Durmitor, parts and areas of the lakes and Piva mountain, upper parts of canyon valleys Grabovica and Komarnica, canyon valley of the river Tara and canyons of its confluences. At the Durmitor national park we are going to meet the local tourism organisation who will us a presentation about the national park after which we are going to test some of the hiking trails in the park. 
Camp Grab.


Camp Grab
Camp Grab is an excellent destination for recreation, rest, rafting and fishing. It is situated just over the Tara river in the heart of beech and oak forests. It offers a variety of traditional foods and comfortable accommodation in spacious bungalows, rooms with own toilets and cozy tents. All accommodation units provide a terrace with a mountain view. The most attractive offer in their wide range of offers is the rafting experience on the Tara river, which our group is planning to try out as well.


Luštica Bay
Luštica Development AD was founded in 2008. It is a joint initiative between Orascom Development Holding (90%) and the Montenegrin Government (10%). It aims to create a community where they create social and economic benefits but also preserve the authentic culture of the region at the same time. Luštica Bay has been designed as highly sustainable and sociable coastal community driven by the healthy lifestyles the location offers. The resort includes shops, spas, beaches, bars and an extensive selection of accommodation. 


Outdoors & More
The tourist agency was established in 2012 in order to promote the National Park Skadar Lake, Virpazar and Montenegro in general. Primarily the company aims to offer their customers active holidays, possibility to learn about a culture, traditions, lifestyle national cuisine and other natural resources. Some of the activities they offer are excursions on Lake Skadar in a wooden boat, birdwatching, biking, hiking, water tracking and wine tasting. Our group will also go on and try out the boat trip on Lake Skadar. 

We are very much looking forward to meeting all our business partners who have agreed to  give a little insight in their business.
